Description: Our client, a large, growing corporation is in search of a HP support technician.
Lots of room for Growth !!
Responsible for training and servicing customer field technicians to properly diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
Assist in the pre and post sales process by providing technical expertise.
Maintain excellent customer relations through customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Provides technical service support to technicians in the field on an on-call basis.
Conducts machine start-up and troubleshooting.
This includes electrical and mechanical debugging, operator interfaces, and other on-site adjustments.
Provides on-site stand-by support.
Assign job tasks to team.
Maintain a sensitivity of response time and customer relations through communicating the maintenance or repair actions to level needed to satisfy the customer.
This may include such items as firmware levels and patches.
Maintain and submit in a timely manner all required reports, invoices and records.
Assist the Sales Department when required with technical support and communicate potential customer upgrades if appropriate.
Provide 24x7 on call support in addition to normal schedule workday.
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience working with at least two of the following HP products:
Superdomes
All RP machines ie, RP8400,8420,8620,7410,4440
L series, N series
All rx series (9610,8620,8620,5670,4640,2600)
Storageworks series (XP48,128,256,512,1024)
Optical jukeboxes
Virtual arrays (VA500,3000,7410,7110)
Peripheral hardware knowledge
Strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work with short deadlines
Desired Qualifications
HP certified system engineer or certified system administrator a plus
