Urgent!!! UNIX - Solaris Administrator for Singapore

VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Technology Solutions and
Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, USA, Singapore &
India.
VAM SYSTEMS currently looking for UNIX - Solaris Administrator for our
Singapore operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions.
Skill Set required:
Skills:
· 4 to 6 years experience in supporting UNIX (Solaris) based
distributed computing environment with at least 200 servers
· Proficiency with most aspects of UNIX (Solaris) system
administration; for example systems upgrades, package installations,
jump-starting and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of
security, installing third-party software
· Solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system, preferable
Solaris 2.6/8/10 and Redhat Linux,
· Understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, ,
· Solid understanding of file system, such as: UFS, NFS, disk
partitioning, file system tuning, configuring automounts and
troubleshooting
· Solid understanding of naming services, such as NIS, DNS.
understands basic routing concepts
· Familiarity with fundamental networking / distributed computing
environment concepts; can configure NFS and NIS, can use nslookup/dig/
snoop/netstat/top, etc. in order to diagnose any Unix related
problems
· Ability to write shell and Perl scripts
· Fundamental skills with Veritas Volume Manager, File System, Cluster
server
· Basic configuration knowledge of Sun Sparc, Fujitsu Prime Power, IBM
blade and HP DL servers
· Experience in SAN will be highly desirable
· Ability to diagnose core files
· A degree/higher qualification in computer science or a related
field.
· Basic understanding of Banking and Finance Business
· Strong inter-personal and communication skills, capable of writing
justifications, reports, run-books, etc.
Ability to educate users in understanding complex topics

Experience Required: 4 - 8 yrs
