Senior QA Engineer

Specific responsibilities include:

* Enhancing design of the automation process and making appropriate
modifications to automation scripts * 24x7 regression testing
utilizing the automation process. Requires working in shifts including
night-time and weekend monitoring of the builds/tests. o Analyzing
failures, narrowing down problems and providing information to
developers, following through on bugs until resolved/verified *
Writing test plans and test specifications based on Functional/Design
documents, performing testing according to the test specifications,
automating tests. o Includes testing database server features, JDBC/
ODBC/.NET drivers * Mentoring junior QA engineers

Requirements:

* 5+ years working with database internals or working in the QA,
development or porting group of a database company * Comprehensive
knowledge of SQL and database theory * Familiarity with UNIX tools
like sed/grep and shell programs. * A reasonable working knowledge of
TCL * Working knowledge of Visual C++ or a similar programming
language * Being detail oriented and productive with exceptional
debugging skills * Flexibility of working in shifts which includes
night-time and weekend monitoring to support 24x7 build/test
environment
