Sr. SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Responsibilities:

* Install and maintain multiple clustered instances of MS SQL Server
2005 with very large (multi-TB) storage. * Act as the primary subject-
matter expert for the neoSaej development team on database physical
design for performance and high availability. * Design, implement, and
test database failover and backup/restore plans. * Design, implement,
and test automated data archiving and maintenance scripts. *
Participate in on-call rotation and off-hours maintenance as part of a
multi-disciplinary operations team.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work
experience. * A minimum of 5 years experience administering SQL
server, with at least 3 years in a 24x7 production environment. *
Demonstrated experience managing >1TB SQL Server clusters, both with
highly-transactional databases and data warehouses. * A minimum of 5
years experience with SQL/TSQL programming, debugging, and tuning. *
Demonstrated ability to proactively plan database storage and CPU
capacity requirements. * Experience with multi-site replication of SQL
Server databases is desirable. * Experience administering Oracle
databases in a Windows or Linux/Unix environment is desirable.
