SOFTWARE ENGINEER

These positions require progressive experience in systems/application,
analysis and development, enterprise architecture and/or application
integration and implementation. From a systems engineering and
development perspective, responsibilities include capturing
requirements, specifying design, and developing application programs
while following formal methods and techniques prescribed by the SEI
and IEEE. Senior level positions also require providing technical
leadership to the team and some project management responsibility in
support of the project manager.

Successful candidates will be expected to quickly establish themselves
on an existing cross-functional team comprised of business analysts,
database engineers, system administrators, software developers, and
help desk analysts. The current team has a consistent record of
delivering projects on schedule at quality level that exceed industry
averages by a factor of 10 or greater.

Please note that although these are full-time positions, they will be
considered temporary positions that will last from January 2, 2008
through September 2008. Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in CS,
MIS, or similar field is required for all of these positions. Junior
level positions will require at least 3 years of experience,
journeyman level positions will require a minimum of 8 years
experience and senior level will require 15 years experience in full
lifecycle software development with a relational database application.
Experience required with development tools that include Oracle
developer suite, Oracle Application Server, and Oracle RDBMS (9i or
10g), Pro C, PL/SQL, C / C++, and UNIX (Sun Solaris / LINUX).
Knowledge and experience with formal Configuration Management,
Software Quality Assurance, CMM/CMMI processes are positive along with
experience working on Air Force or DoD accounting applications.
