11/04 to 01/05 (Company confidential)

 Designed a complex image data transfer system for an image
processing company. This program utilizes a radio frequency transmitter
to send an image to a remote PC. The remote PC assembles an image from
the incoming RF data stream, verifies image integrity and communicates
via the RF link to the sending device the image status. This program
also reads and programs smart cards. Data written to the smart card is
based on decisions regarding image comparisons. All computation
functionality for both the sending and receiving devices is integrated
into this single program. Written in VB

02/04 to 05/04 (Retail store- Clyde’s Liquor)

 Designed a barcode scanning cash register program that operates on
any Windows based PC. Barcode data and associated product information
(price, description, inventory, etc) is stored in an MS Access
database. This program was designed to speed up sales transactions,
track sales trends, keep an accurate record of inventory. Program has
many reporting, import/export and database management tools. At
Point-Of-Sale, program displays subtotal, tax (if applicable) and sales
total to the customer. Written in VB using Access as the database
format.

11/02 to 01/03 (Company confidential)

 Created a database application for check cashing facility. Program
stores photographs of customer, customer’s signature and fingerprint.
Customer’s personal data such as Drivers License Number, telephone
number, etc in stored database. The program provides quick look-up
interface and displays all photos and personal data for check cashing
clerk. Written in VB using MS Access as the database format.

05/2002 to 08/2002 (Personal project)

 Created a complex Windows based program that converts any graphics
file (digital photo or graphics "paint" file) to a grid pattern for
Cross Stitch hobbyists. Program allows user to manipulate the size of
output pattern, select number of colors, color manipulation and
graphics paint functions. The program then converts the image file to a
Cross Stitch pattern by replacing each pixel with a closest match to
the predefined color set chosen by the user. The output is a printed
set of Cross Stitch grid patterns- each grid cell has a symbol which
represents a thread color defined in a legend at the bottom of each
page. Written in VB


07/1993 to 05/2002 (Quantum Corp, Milpitas, CA)

 Created Windows based programs for interface with data collection
devices: Laser Doppler Vibrometer, acoustic testing and more. These
programs were designed to automate and speed up data collection process
and simplify the test process for the user. All programs interfaced
directly with the device by automatically setting the initial state of
the tool, starting the test, data collection, generating reports or
graphs and storing data in a database. Written primarily in VB

09/1989 to 01/1990 (Friends Indeed, LLC)

 Custom wrote an automated telephone calling program for a local
company. This program works like an automated telemarketing program.
Using prerecorded voice messages, the program would automatically call
the customers and play the messages based on customer response via
touch tone input from the customer. Calls are routed to a live operator
if necessary. Written in C

I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. I am a
team player and work well with small start up organizations as well as
large corporations.

I am not a “9 to 5er”. I believe in spending whatever time is
necessary to get the job done and done right.

I am proficient with most Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel,
Access etc)

Programming languages: Fortran, C, HTML, ASP and primarily Visual
Basic.
