Sales Representatives (Inside) - Torrance, California
I am assisting to recruit an Inside Sales Representative for a
biochemical company located in Torrance, California.
COMPANY:
They are an international, technology-based company specializing in
the production of innovative biochemical and pharmaceutical compounds.
This position is within the division that has scientific know-how in
peptide conjugation, antibody production (against peptides and
proteins) for immunoassay, immunohistochemistry and
immunocytochemistry, kit formulation and iodination of peptides. The
company employs 530 motivated and qualified people worldwide.
This position will report to the Director, Product Services and will
be responsible for selling the company's products and services by
contacting prospective and established customers. The Sales
Representative will follow up on leads and establish close customer
contacts to promote the company's products to select accounts as
designated by Sales Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contact prospective customers to uncover sales leads and pursue to
completion.
Maintain sales program within assigned territory to meet Sales Budget.
Sell company's products and services by calling prospective and
established customers.
Provide information to customers as it pertains to available services,
prices and new products.
Distill customer requirements and qualify project leads before
presenting to operational functions.
Present applicable company capabilities as benefits to prospective
customers.
Meet established company sales quota by obtaining and renewing orders.
Monitor competitive activity and trends within the established
territory.
Prepare quotes or forward as required.
Research marketing leads and follow-up.
Act as liaison between customer contacts and operations personnel.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Increase quote requests and sales.
Gather and communicate relevant market information to Sales
Management.
Ensure that quotes are submitted in a timely manner.
Follow up on customer concerns and requests for information and new
customer opportunities.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in science related field. Inside sales experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
3-5 years experience in pharmaceutical or fine chemical sales
preferred. Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, Access & Outlook,
Access helpful.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent communication and phone skills. Positive presentation
style. Motivation. Knowledge of company's products. Proactive.
Aggressive/Competitive selling techniques. Strong prioritization and
organizational skills.
COMPENSATION:
$35,000 - 65,000 depending upon experience
