Regional Director of Sales

Sales, you will have significant responsibility for catapulting us to
the next level, using your sales leadership experience to ensure that
we remain the market leader in our industry.

This is a High Profile, very visible role within a recognized, fast-
growth company in the Educational Sector. You'll have a proven track
record of coaching and mentoring a sales team that has consistently
exceeded expectations regardless of the economic climate. You'll be a
big part of setting our direction, establishing our go to market
strategy and ensure our continued success through the efforts of your
team.

Responsibilities:

* Provide on the job coaching, mentoring and motivating to ensure
that assigned account executives are on plan to achieve/exceed goals
* Identify development requirements and then hold the account
executives accountable for assigned development objectives
* Successfully penetrate defined large volume strategic accounts
* Manage the use of SalesForce.com, and report results to the
executive team
* Oversee account executives, ensuring that sales goals are met
and taking appropriate action for those not meeting expectations
* Ensure that profit and sales goals are met as well as expenses
are appropriate and within budget
* Demonstrate a general knowledge of the education industry and
maintain awareness of the marketplace, staying current on trends and
legislation
* Monitor competitive activity in the market and identify new
competition and/or changes in competitor activity
* Prepare a sales budget for the business plan detailing sales,
expenses, head count and wages/commissions
* Work with the marketing department to help build an effective
marketing strategy
* Lead sales meetings on a regular basis
* Deliver formal annual performance appraisals for all reporting
relationships


Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related science
* Sales experience in the direct eduction industry will give you
an advantage and is strongly preferred
* 5+ years in sales management is required with preference given
to those who:
o have worked within organizations between $35-$200 million
in revenue
o can show success managing employees face to face and
virtually
o have been part of organizations with meteoric growth
o bring experience inheriting a sales team, building their
trust and driving greater performance
* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a sales organization,
negotiate, speak publicly, analyze problems, identify root cause and
translate company goals into actions necessary to achieve company
objectives


This opportunity is based out of Austin, TX but will require
significant travel with direct reports to monitor performance and
administer coaching.
