Peoplesoft DBA

Job Description This is a position for an PeopleSoft Oracle DBA Administrator. This position is responsible for implementing, upgrading and maintaining all Oracle enterprise databases.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Development duties will include

Responsible for PeopleSoft installations, implementing, upgrading and maintaining all Oracle enterprise databases including PeopleSoft Financials/HR environments and non- databases.
Database administration talents including installing, upgrading, security patching and tuning will be heavily utilized in support of this position.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture database, web and application servers.
Maintain efficiency of batch and online database operations through ongoing system monitoring and tuning.
This position will require an individual who can work both individually and within a group.


Basic Technical Requirements

A minimum of five years of PeopleSoft /Oracle database administration experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
Experience supporting mission-critical production applications and databases.
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field.
Experience in a PeopleSoft/Oracle environment and PeopleSoft installations is a must.


Desirable Skills

Experience with Oracle 9i and 10g databases and upgrading from 9i.
Must have hands-on database experience all aspects Oracle database administration including PeopleSoft installation., patching, backup and recovery, security, monitoring, performance management, SQL tuning and capacity planning.
Experience working in a matrix organization and/or with overseas team members.
Collaborating with infrastructure teams to support Oracle databases, including hardware.
Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Travel will be required up to 100%
