Absolutely, if someone makes just the one mistake, he or she shouldn't
be punished.
However, you make a couple, such as "dont" instead of "don't" and
"gracefull" instead of "graceful".

Johannes,
Do you realise that you are the only person to give a positive reply to
the original post.
They might have a dull job, but obviously do have dull lives to nit-pick
as they have done so against somebody they do not even know. Now I know
the modern meaning of 'sad'.
Well done good dude.
To the OP - Mark, I wish you every good luck with your search.
You used one incorrect word and caused a stream of responses from people
whose attitudes leave a lot to be desired (IMHO), the follow ups again
IMHO have mis-used a number of words.

Ray,

I found it staggering. I don't know whether these people know what it's
like to be going through the job search mill. And (therefore) I don't know
why the hell they're hanging around here.
Just for laughs, I guess.

No, realism. If the OP made a simple, one-off mistake, OK, but if he
didn't and it showed either a poor command of spelling or a lack of
attention, then he isn't cut out for any real work in an office other
than fetching tea. It is pointless pretending otherwise. If it was a
simple mistake then he can ignore the comments, if it is due to a lack
of reading and writing skills, well now he knows that that shocks people
and can do something about it if he wishes it to be otherwise. >> Stay informed about: Part time work sort in London |

I reckon the attention to that mistake was undeserved. Never mind - we
move on.
