PL/SQL Developer - Oracle Software

Type: Contract
Duration: 4- 5 months

We are actively seeking a senior level, technically-oriented Oracle specialist - combination DBA - PL/SQL Developer. Although this is a developer position, DBA skills will be an asset in the course of your work. You will need experience using large scale Oracle installations (1+ terabyte databases and high transaction systems) in a Unix environment. The project will involve a small team of developers to port existing Java processes into Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures. You will need a working knowledge of Java as well as a very solid overall understanding of Oracle and PL/SQL.
Required Skills/Experience
* BS in Computer Science or related discipline 8+ years development experience with Oracle , SQL, PLSQL
* Experience in database design and performance tuning a plus.
* 8+ year of professional experience Oracle and PL/SQL, preferably on UNIX Excellent communication and writing skills
* Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle processes.
* Java, C++ , or C# is a plus
Education
* BS, EE, MS, CS Degree in a technical field is preferred.
