Description: immediate need for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Broadcast Engineering team at our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia. Most likely will be working 3rd shift.

Under the direction of the Senior Broadcast Engineering Project Manager, the Project Engineer provides complex design, development, integration, testing and documentation support to the Broadcast infrastructure.  This position determines requirements for new systems, develops system designs and supervises installations. The Project Engineer also provides project management related support including project plans, resource projections, budget recommendations and issues lists. The Project Engineer evaluates new and emerging technology and its applicability to business and prepares strategies for implementation. In addition, this position assists in the development of technical manuals, standard operating procedures and training materials.

The Project Engineer evaluates and recommends equipment for capital purchase decisions including evaluating and recommending vendors, consultants and system integrators.  This position partners with the Senior Engineering Project Manager to manage assigned projects from design through installation including supervision of project teams and contractors.

The Project Engineer assists with prioritizing concurrent projects, develops new system proposals (budgets, bill of materials, facility layout and wiring diagrams) and analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach to achieve solutions to complex technical problems. The Project Engineer suggests new approaches as problems are encountered and recommends corrections in technical analysis and design to ensure project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements
•Degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
•SBE Broadcast Engineer Certification or a FCC General Class License a plus.
•Seven years of recent engineering experience in a television broadcasting environment required. Experience should include studio and uplink system design, installation and testing. 
•Solid project management skills and experience with standard project management tools. PMI certification a plus.
•Supervisory experience required.
•Computer application/software programming experience highly desirable.
•Deep understanding of digital television broadcast systems design and documentation.
•Knowledge and experience working with baseband, compressed and encoded digital and analog video and audio signals, NTSC, SDI, HD, ASI.
•An advanced skill set consisting of basic electronics technology, construction techniques, test instruments and NTSC, HD, and digital television fundamentals.
•Detailed knowledge of serial digital video and technology. 
•Knowledge of LAN and computer network technologies and topologies
•Experience working in diverse computing environments: Windows, Mac, Linux, workstations and servers.
•IT systems design and troubleshooting
•Knowledge of IT systems administration, and DB administration, Network administration.

Technical competency in major areas in a broadcast facility such as:
HPAs
CATV System
Downlink Systems
VTRs
Cameras
Graphics systems
Audio Systems
Audio consoles
Audio/Video Switchers and Routers
Camera Robotics
Video servers
Playout/Automation systems
NLE systems

•Ability to climb stairs/ladders.
•Ability to work on elevated surfaces (i.e., lighting rafters, etc.).
Ability to lift items (packages, equipment) weighing approximately 30 to 60 lbs.
•Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
•Ability to differentiate between colors.
•Ability to travel daily/overnight.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to conduct oral presentations.
•Ability to work in close proximity to RF, microwaves, and high voltage.
