Description: The incumbent is responsible for the management of an operations unit providing back-office service and support for Mellons Private Wealth Management division. Service may include: legal analysis, account opening, securities settlement, corporate actions, income collections, mutual fund processing, asset master file set-up and maintenance, cash operations, revenue accounting, account distributions, and reconciliation & control. He/She is responsible for all personnel and performance management functions for his/her team. The incumbent is responsible for providing superior service to both internal constituents and PWM clients, designing process workflows and developing operational procedures to meet predetermined business needs, performing risk management activities, and ensuring compliance to all department, corporate, fiduciary, and regulatory policies and procedures. He/She interacts regularly with indiviuals throughout the organization at all levels. The incumbent is accountable for cultivating and maintaining relationships with vendors. He/She is required to ensure that business continuity infrastructure and related processes are viable and tested regularly. The incumbent periodically manages and/or participates in various projects such as asset conversions, product development, software release testing, etc. 5-8 years of financial services experience. 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience. BS/BA preferred. Knowledge of securities processing and banking regulations required. Excellent client service and communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, self-motivated, and attentive to detail. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work both independently and in team settings. Demonstrated track record of success.
