Overall Accountability: To provide the business, human resource, and personal leadership necessary to assure the operational and functional effectiveness of the Loss Control Department in the PA & Garden State Regional Offices. The following items are the primary responsibilities of the Loss Control Manager: * Management of remote Loss Control Consultants in territory i.e., selection, training, mentoring, development and evaluation of staff * Provide overall direction of Loss Control services to The Hartfords Underwriting Business Segments. Includes resource management, business development support, influencing positive outcomes and managing change * Executes on business model in delivering quality services. Leads staff through business process changes. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME? This position resides in King of Prussia, PA.

Qualifications WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? The Loss Control Manager position will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of consultative loss control solutions for our internal and external customers. We are looking for a highly motivated leader with strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to develop effective business relationships. The candidate should be comfortable performing analytical analysis, understanding process management, have a strong working knowledge of Risk Management practices balanced with a strong sales acumen. This position will reside in our King of Prussia (PA) Regional Office. In addition, this position will support both the King of Prussia & Garden State, NJ Regional Offices, as well as our Pittsburgh Branch. Qualified candidates will possess the following: * Minimum 5 years of Loss Control, safety and/or field underwriting experience * Knowledge of insurance coverage and insurance underwriting processrequired * Strategic thinking skills, including development of impactful business objectives that include a clear vision and direction for staff. * Leadership skills, including planning, relationship building, mentoring and development of staff * Exhibits the skills to drive loss control services in a consultative selling and business consulting approach. * Management experience inclusive of driving measurable outcomes is a plus * Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, science, or safety preferred * Currently holding or actively pursuing professional designation such as CSP, ARM, CPCU or ALCM highly desirable
