RESPONSIBILITIES - Aetna Health Analytics is seeking to fill a position on the National HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) Consulting Team - HEDIS is a joint project of AHA & National and Regional QM to report health care quality data in accordance with the specifications of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) - The HEDIS Team provides guidance to National and Regional Quality Management and Information Services on the planning, production, and delivery of the HEDIS project Responsibilities include: - Writing business specifications for HEDIS Measures and tools that support the project - Consulting with programming team on the interpretation and development of HEDIS Measures - Providing consultative services to National and Regional Quality Management on issues of sampling methodology, data collection strategies, and HEDIS measure interpretation - Conducting training on HEDIS measures, HEDIS Data collection software, and data collection strategies - Creating software application National Training User Guide, data collection tools, as well as MCM reports - Participation in NCQA HEDIS Compliance Audits - Working with external vendors on data transmission issues - Analyzing data for possible data integrity and data deficits - Analyzing and trending HEDIS rates, identify barriers to improvement of rates, and creating interpretive exhibits - Database querying

REQUIRED SKILLS - We are looking for someone who has significant experience analyzing data, has exceptional leadership, managerial, and organizational skills, and is comfortable working as a liaison with internal Quality Management (QM) customers and Aetna Information Services (AIS) programmers - Prior experience and participation in a HEDIS reporting project will be helpful, as well as a nursing degree or clinical background - Prior work on complex multi-departmental projects will also be an asset - The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects with regulatory deadlines at one time - The candidate should also possess leadership skills, Excel, MS Access, Enterprise Manager (SQL) skills, and exceptional data analytic skills
