ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA)

Summary:

The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) will be in a key position for
the IS organization, and will be counted on for departmental and
thought leadership. Nearly all systems run on the Oracle Application
framework. Therefore, this individual will need to be extremely strong
with Oracle as a DBMS, and very familiar with Oracle ERP.

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred * 7
years IT experience

Required Skills

* Oracle DBA skills - minimum of 2 years * UNIX operating system and
scripting skills - minimum of 2 years

Additional Desired Skills

* Application Development experience * Sun Solaris experience * SQL
Server 2000 experience

Current projects and tasks for the DBA:

* Support of production Unix scripts * Production Support * Root Cause
Analysis of Database and Oracle Application issues

Current Production Environment:

* Multiple Sun systems running Solaris v2.9 (E450, E3000, E4500,
E6500, E6900) * Oracle DBMS at v8.1.7 (8i) * Oracle Applications at
v11.0.3 (HR, Finance, Payroll, MRP, Order Entry, etc.) * SQL Server
2000 with .Net applications * Microsoft Windows Server 2003 - NT
desktop and BackOffice environment * MySQL applications developed in
PHP language
