Responsibilities: * Work closely with the Firms principal and proprietary trading businesses, responding to time-sensitive trading questions and other issues * Coordinate with Fixed Income, Equities and Investment Banking Compliance, as well as other areas of the Compliance and Legal Departments, on policy and other issues. * Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries with regard to the Firms principal and proprietary trading businesses. * Update, develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure that the Company is in a position to effectively respond to the ever-changing regulatory and market environment. * Assist in the implementation of new regulatory initiatives relating to the markets * Periodically provide related training with regard to new or updated policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations. Requirements: * Seven plus years experience, preferably in-house. * Candidate must have solid experience dealing with private equity and other investments and/or acquisitions; and an understanding of the Federal Securities laws and related rules; bankruptcy and/or credit derivatives knowledge is a plus, as is experience with other general trading issues in the corporate bond and/or equity market(s). * Excellent communications skills. * Must be prepared to work closely with others in a team-oriented environment.
