Description A project management position in the Market Risk Infrastructure (MRI) program in the Risk Reporting & Finance team based in New York. Risk Reporting & Finance, a group within Risk Management, is responsible for analyzing and reporting, both internally and externally, the composition of risks across the firm. The MRI program is a strategic initiative focused on market risks that will streamline the work of the RR&F team and will be delivered 2007 — 2009. The program will: * Update and improve the market risk infrastructure * Improve flexibility, adaptability and control in the market risk management infrastructure, to meet business and regulatory requirements * Provide greater consistency, transparency and traceability of data * Enable the introduction of new methodologies, e.g. for the calculation of VaR and introduction of new stress scenarios * Provide the ability to respond faster to changes in market events and new reporting requirements Responsibilities As a Project lead within Market Risk Reporting you will: * Responsible for the Business Reporting lead of one or more of the following work streams: 1. Risk Reporting 2. Risk Analysis 3. Data Acquisition 4. Reference Data 5. Calculation Services * Reporting metrics & performing analysis on legacy system versus strategic initiative and reporting back to the relevant PCC’s * Actively participate in various PCC meetings * Strategically move the MRI and relevant work stream forward working with a broad team of colleagues at various levels * Coordinating feedback from Market Risk Coverage, technology, and model teams on initiative to ensure consistency * Help define system build for reporting requirements (e.g. cube design) * SIT and UAT testing throughout the program
Qualifications Previous project management experience . Market Risk or Credit Risk experience desired. . Strong analytical skills . Detail oriented, but also able to look at the ‘big-picture to perform high-level analysis . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail . Consistently delivers under tight deadlines . Very strong computer skills . Comfortable working with large quantities of data . Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment . Strong understanding of financial products and systems . Excellent communication skills, both written and oral . Self-motivated driving broader team agenda while working with others .
