SUMMARY: Resource will work on a strategic project for a Prime Services Trade Booking Application. The PBS application supports straight through processing of various products such as Equities, Fixed Income, Repos, Mortgage Backs and Cash Wires from Entry to Enrichment and exception management . The Developer will work with a highly motivated technical team to deliver world class technology implementations. Significant maintenance and new development work is planned for PBS, including the supporting new joint-ventures, re-engineering of the current New York Prime Services data flow to separate middle and back office systems from the critical path of front-office reporting.



KEY DUTIES:

-The candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, development and implementation of application software and components as well as participating in QA and code reviews, and handling second level production support. -The candidate may work on both strategic and Business As Usual application enhancements and defects for the projects in the areas of trade capture, exception and workflow management and re-engineering of existing application flows. -The candidate should have strong knowledge of J2EE, Struts, Hibernate, Spring Frameworks, Sybase/Oracle, and AJAX. -The candidate should have strong knowledge of SWIFT and FIX messaging and trade order management, and have prior experience with large message based systems using XML and JMS, MQ or Tibco. REQUIRED: -Candidate should be an expert in the following areas multi threaded applications in java , usage of SQL and stored procedures in Sybase

-You should have 6+ years of related experience in the following areas: Experience with FIX, SWIFT, Trade Order Management systems Knowledge of Back Office settlement processing and DTCC trade affirmation. Expertise with Java (J2EE), JavaScript & Servlets, XML, Sybase/Oracle, Messaging (MQ, JMS, Tibco), AJAX, Hibernate, Spring

Knowledge of financial products Must be able to work well in a team environment and willing to work long hours Bachelor degree in Computer Science DESIRED: Experience with trade entry development projects. Experience in Prime Brokerage. Experience with EXT JS Experience with iPlanet WebServer, WebLogic, UNIX, PERL Experience with iLog / jRules Experience with workflow / JBPM Master degree in Computer Science or MBA
