The collection, dating back to 1930, now includes more than 170,000 audio recordings and 60,000 video clips of animal behavior. In 1999, the ML began digitizing its analog-based recordings and now has over 85,000 audio and 39,000 video clips that can be searched and played online through the Internet. ML also provides custom and engineered versions of rich media assets for research, education, conservation, zoos and aquaria, wildlife managers, and both public and commercial media. Serve as an ML video production engineer providing consultation, selection, and technical preparation of video assets for distribution to internal (CLO) and external clients. Responsible for all stages in the creation of integrated and engineered compilations of video assets; consultation, selection, and preparation of smaller sets of requested video recordings (media distribution); and proactive participation in long-term projects which may include but it not limited to the identification and collation of optimal examples of animal behavior for each species in the archive (standard set preparation). Maintain careful records of source and derivative assets, relevant rights and asset usage constraints, and relevant metadata for each compilation.
