Once the program is successfully completed, the Management Trainee will be fully prepared to take on a supervisory role in one of the five various training areas. This position is ideal for candidates who score very highly on the staff skills for success and other leadership dimensions, but do not have a strong hospitality background. The Management Trainee will obtain an excellent understanding of different areas of the Statler Hotel, as well as general hospitality industry knowledge, both of which will prove to be critical for their success as a potential future supervisor for the Statler. The Management Trainee will gain an understanding of the expectations of a Cornell supervisor, get an introduction to the Statler Mission Statement, as well as our policies and procedures, and receive training on Kronos and other computer programs that are needed prior to becoming a supervisor. Further, the Management Trainee will get an opportunity to meet and work side by side with the employees in each of the departments and achieve a good understanding of the business functions of each area of the hotel.!*!
