Ensure residents lives are maintained to the fullest extent possible by providing activities and contacts with the community. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: . Design a creative and exciting life enrichment program to meet the individual needs and interests of the residents. Plan life enrichment calendar each month for each resident; includes providing one-to-one programming for residents who cannot participate in a group setting. . Participate in the review of individual residents service plans and regularly document life enrichment progress. Participate in discharge planning with other members of the management team. . Coordinate the transportation of residents to and from events outside of the residence, which may include driving a residence motor vehicle. . Monitor life enrichment budget, equipment and supplies. . Provide guidance and act as a resource to staff on the importance of life enrichment and other areas regarding the quality of life for residents. . Ensure that Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal and other regulations. . Coordinate quarterly special events at the residence. Develop and maintain contact with community agencies and organizations. . Train and supervise volunteers. . Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers. . This position will require some weekends and holidays. . Must be able to drive residents to outside activities in Company Bus Required Skills:
Qualified candidates will possess the following requirements: * Some experience preferred * Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills are required. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization, as well as effectively communicate in English and understand/follow written/oral instructions required. * CDL License with good driving record required . * Basic typing skills essential along with basic knowledge of computer and word processing software, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment. * Must enjoy working with the elderly.
