This is a part-time position.%0A %0A The Kessler Fellows Program is a new, prestigious program for a select group of Engineering undergraduate students who are interested in business/entrepreneurship. The program will consist of academic course work, a paid entrepreneurial/business internship, and a small cash prize. The new director will assume primary responsibility for developing the Kessler Fellows Program. %0A %0A The Director will collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni to develop and implement the program vision. The Director will market the program to students; work with an Advisory Committee on policy issues related to the program; work with Cornell Regional Office Directors, COE Development and External Relations staff, and CEOs of start up companies to develop internships around the country, and oversee the administration of an academic course and seminar in Entrepreneurship. They will coordinate with other Entrepreneurship programs on campus to utilize existing resources, recruit students into the program, advise students, and carry out program evaluation.%0A %0A The position will report to the Assistant Dean for Student Services (first year only) and the Director of Co-op and Career Services.!*! Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in college Student or Career services, Human Resources, Engineering or related field. Master's degree and 5-7 years experience preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, organization, counseling, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, Access) or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software. Can-do attitude, customer service orientation and commitment to diversity are essential. Engineering background not necessary; but interest & curiosity in technology issues is helpful. Some travel is required.%0A %0A No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
