THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WASHINGTON, DC.%0A %0A The Cornell Center in Washington, DC hosts 4 academic programs during the course of the year and houses up to 60 students and staff for each program. Cornell in Washington is a semester program offered in the spring and fall; Summer in Washington is an eight-week summer course; and a two-week winter session program is offered in conjunction with Cornell's Natural Resources department. The general functions of this position apply to all programs. The Cornell Center staff is very small and must provide a wide variety of services to students, faculty, staff, Cornell Center building tenants, and alumni without the support available to departments on the Ithaca campus.%0A %0A This position requires the ability to manage many non-routine projects simultaneously, to determine priorities on an hourly basis, to work with diverse audiences, to conceptualize projects from beginning to end, and to delegate, manage, and report on progress. The duties require sophisticated reasoning skills, constant review of procedures, development of improved services, the ability to gather and analyze information in order to make implementation recommendations directly affecting the entire department, students and employees. Requires frequent dealing with matters of a highly sensitive or personal nature. Supervision is very general. Contacts within the University include: the Bursar's Office, University Registrar, college registrars, Financial Aid Office, CIT, NOC, SCE, UBSC, AAD. External contacts include, but are not limited to, the building management company, vendors, government, private and nonprofit organizations.!*!
