Description: Quality Manager Location: NY, Barton - CRM & Neuromodulation Number Needed: 1

Description The primary purpose of this position is responsibility for the planning, and management of a Quality Engineering Group which includes Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance. * Maintains safe and ethical business practices, and adheres to Greatbatchs quality policy. * Supports and maintains continuous efforts to ensure continued ISO 13485 certification. * Manages the quality engineering function to meet company goals and customer expectations. * Incorporates Lean initiatives in support of overall production and optimization. * Ensures associates participate in continuous improvement efforts and are trained to comply with quality systems requirements. * Provides on-going communication and support to plant management and business unit leaders toward attainment of business unit and Greatbatch objectives. * Investigates, identifies and executes cost effective solutions to various technically related non-conformance problems so that the customers needs are satisfied. * Directs, plans and implements a comprehensive quality system designed to improve product quality and increase customer satisfaction. * Works with customers and vendors to resolve issues. * Provides training and mentoring in quality improvement techniques to upgrade associate skills, increase awareness and increase customer satisfaction. * Establishes and manages departmental strategic plans, tactical plans, and budgets. * Manages subordinates in a manner that fosters a self-directed team approach. Education: Masters Degree; Doctorate preferred Experience: 12-15 years of related experience Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Direct quality function management experience Special skills: Experience with ISO, GMP, and related quality systems
