Description: Human Resources Generalist Location: NY, Barton - CRM & Neuromodulation Number Needed: 1
Description The primary purpose of this position is to provide HR support for the plant including associate relations, staffing and recruitment, and training and compliance. * Provide associate relations to plant associates in the areas of progressive discipline, corrective action, career counseling, and succession planning. Facilitates investigation of complaints and issues. * Promotes a positive environment through awareness and sensitivity to associates, consistent application of policies, procedures, management standards and training. * Coordinates recruiting, interviewing, testing and selection of positions for the plant. * Participates in plant leadership team and provides continuous communication with corporate and plant management on issues. * Promotes associate communications through visible and ongoing contact. * Assist in the implementation of all plant training programs. * Conduct new associate orientation. * Ensure and monitor legislative compliance. * Ensure inclusion and an open and equitable environment for all associates related to programs, policies, and procedures. * Work with corporate and regional HR, and management on salary recommendations for promotions and new hires * Assist in implementing benefit programs, open enrollment, and other communication plans. * Maintains accurate records, documentation and management of HR data in compliance with regulations and Greatbatch policy. Education: 4-year degree Experience: 3-5 years Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: knowledge of state and federal labor laws; interviewing, training and presentation skills; manufacturing industry experience preferred Special skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision making and conflict management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Other: SPHR/PHR helpful, willingness to relocate
