Description PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY This position serves retail floor or walk in customers and referral sources on the telephone to fill orders for DME equipment, and ensure timely billing to insurance companies. SCOPE This position serves as the general customer service associates either in a call center environment, a retail floor, or a combination of both, depending upon the branch. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to a Customer Service Supervisor or a Branch Manager, and does not have any direct reports. WORKING CONDITIONS In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities. Accommodations will be made if they are reasonable, do not create an undue hardship, and will enable an individual with a disability to safely perform the essential job functions. Inside Customer Service: Customer Service Associates work in an office environment. Noise level is moderate. Must be able to talk and dial a multi-line phone system in a call center environment. Inside Sales sits 75% of the time. Retail and Rehab Sales: Must be able to stand 50% of the workday. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Requires fine motor skills for demonstrating equipment on the sales floor. Requires bending, stooping and climbing for stocking. Requires ability to regularly lift and move 25 lbs. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. General: Serves walk in retail customers, Prints open order edit list, Selects and confirms orders, Validates accuracy of all patient and referral data in the system, Maintains log of generated orders, Coordinates patient service with dispatch function, Participates in Customer Service on call rotation, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as required by management. 2. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Exposure to DME or Homecare Industry, and/or experience in a call-center environment is preferred. Working knowledge of medical intake, compliance( HIPAA, JCAHO), Medical Terminology, EOB, CMN, Procedure and ICD-9 codes is preferred. Proficiency with computers is preferred
