Description: Commercial Surety Underwriter Area of Interest : Insurance - Underwriting

Position Type : 100% FTE Description : Competencies / Tech Skills: The candidate must possess 1+ year of surety underwriting experience. They must demonstrate broad knowledge of the commercial surety business, the marketplace and Chubbs business goals. Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships, work in a team environment and make sound judgements and decisions. Strong organizational skills and overall business acumen required. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Position Description: Responsible for underwriting and producing new business as well as underwriting existing business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines. Make prompt and decisive recommendations. Provide prompt, reliable service to our external and internal customers. Maintain complete and well-documented account files. Travel territory frequently, visiting with agents and accounts, to generate new business activity. Work with all staff, including commercial manager and branch surety manager, to meet overall department and branch goals. Responsible for premium collection and working closely with premium accounting. RELOCATION BENEFITS WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH CANDIDATES
