Rapidly grown progressive company looking for Lawson administer with a
desire for a rewarding career being the companies resident guru for Lawson
financial software products.
The System Administrator will interface between users technical support and
Lawson, discussing problems, issues and various support requests.
Make suggestions and recommendations when required.
Responsible for installation, configuring, maintaining systems.
Upgrade Lawson applications when necessary. Candidate will apply application
patches and upgrades.
Work Business Analyst and other stakeholders to go over new Lawson patches
and upgrades. Determine which are applicable for environment and identify
dependencies. Apply patches and upgrades to the various environments.
Must be experienced in troubleshooting Lawson applications and will be the
repository of error notifications for Lawson which must be tracked and
logged. Resolve all errors through with troubleshooting skills or open a
tickets with vendor to assist. Apply fix (recompile programs, download
patches, etc.) and test.
Successful applicant will maintain extensive knowledge of the Lawson
environments, product lines, directory structures and web infrastructure and
will be expected to lead any new initiatives or implementations including
environments and web installs including Apache and Tomcat.
Monitor the system for efficiency, disk usage, and work closely with DBAs to
ensure the Lawson application is running well on the iSeries platform.
A minimum of three years experience administering Lawson in an iSeries
environment is required.
At least three years working in a technical capacity on Lawson systems with
experience in Lawson environments, products ETC, and the web infrastructure,
including Apache, Tomcat, XML and Javascript.
Administrative Functions
Apply application patches and upgrades as needed for Reporting Services,
SmartNotifications and Process Flow. Determine patch and upgrade
dependencies
Perform Reporting Services Administration including maintaining reporting
groups, report attributes, permissions, and batch schedules.
Troubleshoot - aborts, access issues, and scheduling problems.
Backup and recovery duties.
Create, maintain, and ensure connectivity for all data sources for
SmartNotification and Process Flow.

Manage version control for process flow designs - uploading new/changed
flows to production server.
Manage version control for dashboard designs - export dashboards from
development and import to production.
Manage security for dashboards, modules and reports
Qualifications
Ability or previous experience leading a major Lawson technical
implementation.
Knowledge and experience to setup and test production environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with business
users.
A good working knowledge of security including web based as well as desktop
security.
Some experience with Lawson Business Intelligence including Design Studio
and Process flow a plus.
