This position will be responsible for the management of the Finance QA team. The scope includes all Custom Client, Project, and Support testing needs. This position will be expected to manage all Quality Assurance activities (QA planning, test execution, and the implementation schedules). General: . Manager for functional area . Manage projects for cross functional application as the QA Lead . Manage the testing, implementation and problem resolution processes . Work directly with the user community, project owners and technical teams to ensure understanding of the needs and on-time delivery of each application / release . Monitor the performance of QA leads / Analysts . Manage project schedule for all testing, pilot programs and system releases . Participate in QA and User Acceptance testing . Attend a variety of monthly / weekly staff, project and system meetings Special Skills: . Effective liaison between IT, management and users . Effective project management skills to oversee all tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path items and deliverables . Effective people management and mentoring skills . Excellent written and oral communication skills . Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, mainframe-based, client-server & web applications . Able to quickly analyze situations and alternatives and make prudent decisions . Strong business perspective . Strong background in information technology Qualifications: Special Skills: . Effective project management skills to oversee all tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path items and deliverables . Effective people management and mentoring skills . Excellent written and oral communication skills . Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, mainframe-based, client-server & web applications . Able to quickly analyze situations and alternatives and make prudent decisions . Strong business perspective . Strong interest in information technology Minimum Qualifications: . Business / MIS related degree preferred. Applicant must have a minimum of seven years business experience, three years in a management role. Extensive QA / Testing background required. Applicant must be people-oriented and present a professional demeanor at all times . Testing efforts may require participation in night and weekend activities. Must be able to work in a rapid-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, be self-managed and motivated . Prior project management experience strongly preferred. Proficient in collecting information and subsequently organizing and detailing reports. Project type experience utilizing similar skills is preferred .
