General Summary: Responsible for performing the monthly consolidation in accordance with US GAAP. Responsibilities include preparing the income statement, balance sheet and statement of shareowners equity, assistance in preparing Form 10-K and Form 10-Qs, account reconciliations and other functions within the financial reporting department. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform the consolidation process, including processing all elimination and adjusting entries, reviewing intercompany accounts, identify issues in the process. 2. Prepare the income statement (internal and external), balance sheet and statement of shareowners equity. Establish model for preparing cash flow statement. Assist in preparing the quarterly/annual SEC filings and quarterly external communications (information for press release and analysts calls). 3. Address consolidation impact of changes in legal structure of the organization. Coordinate consolidation impact of divestitures/acquisitions. Prepare stand alone (carve out) financial statements for divested businesses, as needed. 4. Address internal control requirements for SOX 404 in the areas of responsibility. Coordinate internal and external audit related to the financial reporting process. 5. Set direction for conversion of the hyperion consolidation system to ensure the new software/practices are designed to comply with US GAAP, controls are maintained and conversion is seamless. 6. Perform various account reconciliations. 7. Provide assistance to business units/other functional areas. Job Complexity: . Must have a solid understanding of consolidation, including currency translation, investments/equity elimination, and US GAAP in general. Must have solid understanding of the preparation of financial statements. . Must be able to perform with a high level of accuracy under very tight time contraints. Must be able to execute assignments with little direction/supervision. . Must have excellent information technology skills. . Works closely with internal and external auditors to support financial statement and internal control audits. Education and Experience: . Bachelors Degree in Accounting (required) . Certified Public Accountant (required) . Solid understanding of preparing financial statements . Knowledge of SAP and consolidation package preferred . Excellent personal computer skills with an ability to quickly learn new software and applications . Working knowledge of business operations . 5-10 years working in industry in accounting with experience in consolidation process. . Public accounting experience preferred. . Proactive style with the ability to interpret data and act quickly. .
