· Engagements will require senior consulting resources with demonstrated information management (IM) / information technology (IT) and management consulting skills. The responsibilities for a Management Consultant may include any or all of the following activities:
· Lead, facilitate and document strategic plans and priorities, aligning to Department vision;
§ Identify projects to achieve this vision;
§ Facilitate stakeholder workshops and focus groups;
· Prepare and present strategies and information to steering committees and project groups;
· Prepare and deliver presentations about initiatives or issues to executives and staff, steering committees, project groups and Service Alberta personnel and other stakeholders;
· Risk and issues management
· Development and execution of change management and communication plan
· Develops business cases through a consultative approach with business sponsors and key stakeholders, identifying benefits and performance measure indicators;
· Documents initiative/project backgrounds, descriptions, environmental analyses, financial modeling, alternatives, impacts, risks, cost-benefit analyses, recommendations, implementation strategies, and approval processes;
· Provides quality assurance services throughout the business case development to ensure completeness and consistency of documentation, which could include content review;
· Identifies risks associated with business cases and their implementation; and
· Integrates and aligns multiple business cases; understands and documents dependencies.
Mandatory Requirement
Demonstrated experience as a Management Consultant as described by the above referenced responsibilities.
Practical experience with implementing the Cúram Software Suite

Analytical and problem solving skills in planning, and designing creative solutions to meet customer needs.
Knowledge or experience developing, completing, and interpreting data cleansing process and plans.
Experience in the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.).
Experience in the development of IM or related types of policies, standards and practices.
Knowledge of project, initiative delivery and management.
Proven ability to function at all levels within an organization.
Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple alternatives.
Demonstrated strong writing, communication and business documentation skills.
Knowledge of government planning and budgeting processes and procedures.
Skills specific to quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits.
Experience in IT project management and the use of systems development methodologies and life cycles for application development.
