In order to accomplish this objective, one must establish and enforce policies and procedures. Another main objective of this position is to establish a stretching, yet achievable business plan and see the plan through implementation to delivery. In order to succeed in this position one must be able to balance business opportunities against business risks and deliver results that meet or exceed the business plan. MONITOR FINANCIAL HEALTH POLICY OF BUSINESS - activities include: review of monthly financial statements, question & review major financial data submitted, hold quarterly business reviews (a sector level review of the business review of the business plan for both actual and forecast), approve half year and full year statutory reporting requirements for NA, communicate and provide guidance to the businesses through a feedback loop mechanism, develop relationships within the finance community. PLANNING- analyze the Integrated Business Plan (this plan evaluates the business opportunities against the business risks) to determine the areas of investment needed and how to obtain the resources necessary to find these investments. MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS (M&A) and other Functional Area support ï1/2 Participate in M&A activities including: performance of due diligence and financial integration. Other functional support - business management skills are needed in this position and these skills are often requested from other departments seeking advice - for example, this position may help with HR benefits and other focus groups. GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE: Responsible for overall coordination and resolution of complex regulatory negotiations and disputes, acts as a liaison with the government on all financial matters including complex negotiations and high visibility issues concerning FAR, DFAR and CAS. Develop effective professional relationships with both external (CACO, DCAA, etc) and internal (Operating Groups, Legal, HR, etc.) customers. PENSION: Administer pension plans, coordinate benefit audits & assure compliance to company rules and US laws. AUDITS: Principal liaison for both external and internal audits. Problem Solving: Requires use of conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying solutions). Nature of Impact: Routinely impacts quality, timeliness of results, planning and revenues or budget; frequently sets policies and procedures. Area of Impact: Primarily Operating Group wide. Interpersonal Skills: Skilled communicator who influences and shapes the image of a complex Program/Business Unit/Operating Group. Negotiation Skills: Negotiates mainly internally, at higher levels, and occasionally with external relationships. Project Management: Project/Program Manager responsible for oversight of a diverse project team or small program ($25-$50MM in revenue). The project typically has well-defined goals and follows a well-established process. Typically completed in 12 months. Min. Education: Bachelors Degree Pref. Education: Masters Degree preferred. Min.
