Lead Database Marketing Specialist

Position Description

Provide complex business process analysis which monitors and reveals
insight into the effectiveness and efficiency of a) marketing demand
generation, b) awareness development, and c) field enablement. Analyze
data to discern business relevant trends, patterns and opportunities,
including (but not limited to) customer and product segmentation,
market analysis. ? Provide operational support for delivery of
aggregate data to enable business intelligence. ? Understand the
drivers of the business and cull data to find any and all interesting
relationships and metrics that have a business impact ? Provide
operational support for list extraction of defined audience selection
data leveraging complex business relationships. ? Consult with key
stakeholders on process changes in the spirit of continuous process
improvement, as well as go-to-market strategy development/
optimization. ? Design systems and methods which automate tasks and
free resources for strategic focus ? Manage ad hoc reporting requests
and prioritize and automate based on business needs ? Proactively
communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze
information needs and functional requirements and deliver the
artifacts as needed. ? Support the delivery of consistent, credible
metrics and dashboards that demonstrate the return on investment of
projects, campaigns, and events across the marketing function. ? Work
with the Marketing, Sales and Information Technology functions to
assist in the development and execution of processes and supporting
information systems technology that enables demand creation/lead
management/lead nurturing activities

Position Requirements

? 6+ years of combined experience in B2B high tech database marketing,
direct marketing and customer reporting & analytics ? Up to three
years direct and database marketing experience required, including
familiarity with list management, database enhancement and direct
marketing (mail/telemarketing/email) execution. ? Extensive experience
with the development and use of marketing databases, data capture and
recording/reporting requirements, and data quality standards. ?
Knowledge of relational databases and data structures ? Strong grasp
of statistical models and ability to apply them to business problems ?
Excellent at analyzing data, recognizing trends, forming conclusions,
and making strategic recommendations based on data ? Hands-on
experience with campaign administration and reporting on Siebel and
SalesForce.com required ? Hands-on experience with report generation
in Business Objects required ? Proficiency with standard business
software (MS Excel, MS Access) ? Hands-on experience with database
querying tools, languages and analytical platforms supporting database
marketing such SQL, SAS, SPSS, Clementine, Unica or Cognos ?
Aggressive self-starter, able to rally team support for process and
accountability ? Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
while managing to critical deadlines and deliverables. ? Possesses
exceptional interpersonal skills ? Excellent written and verbal
communicator Strong attention to detail, well organized
administratively

Desired Skills / Special Qualifications: ? Experience working with
Marketing Resource Management, Campaign Management and/or Enterprise
Marketing Management tools such as Unica, Eloqua or Aprimo desired ?
Fortune 500 corporate experience is preferred

Education/Training Required: ? Bachelor's Degree in marketing,
mathematics, statistics or a technology-focused degree ? Advanced
degree is a plus
