We have an immediate opening for: Quality Assurance lead/Manager
Location: Hunt Valley, MD
Duration: 3 months Temporary to Hire
Rate: $60/hr on W2

Job Details:

The Manager of Quality Assurance manages the effective use of quality
assurance resources and practices for supporting testing development
solutions for applications across markets in Business Insurance.
Partners with business customers, Application Development, Business
Analysts and the Project Management Office communities in reviewing
business requirements and design considerations to develop and oversee
QA practices. Plans at an operational level and manages the effective
use of resources. Leads assigned staff to implement and/or maintain a
medium system or multiple smaller systems and/or assigned project(s).

Responsibilities:

• Manages to the operational plan for assigned information systems and/
or projects of business unit significance.
• Provide leadership to the Testing/QA organization
• Create a roadmap of testing activities and provide oversight
• Coordinate and provide direction for QA assignments and activities
across multiple applications and project initiatives.
• Develop collaborative working relationships throughout the
organization to accomplish mutual goals
• Accountable for directing staff to achieve deliverables and
organizational goals
• Motivate team through positive attitude, effective communications,
and challenging role assignments
• Provides the division and business areas management with timely and
accurate information regarding the performance of assigned systems.
• Provide opportunities for growth within the team, fostering
individual career goals
• Assemble teams of Quality Assurance personnel based on project scope
and needs
• Participate throughout the development life cycle providing Quality
Assurance accountability in all phases
• Oversee and participate in delivery and execution of quality
assurance artifacts that validate the requirements of the business are
met.
• Assist in the collection of information necessary for the
prioritization of projects and enhancements
• Participate in the development and maintenance of annual budget and
concurrent resource forecasting
• Effectively develop and refine processes and procedures utilized by
the organization to deliver accurate timely and cost effective
solutions

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 -10 years of leadership experience in QA; P&C Insurance a
plus
• Experience managing offshore consulting resources effectively
• Strong team orientation with a proven record of motivating staff
• Strong test methodology/process knowledge a must

Other:

Has a thorough understanding of the business that the assigned
projects are supporting. Uses this understanding of the business and
systems environment to develop appropriate and timely solutions to
daily issues. Has conceptual knowledge of varying technologies and/or
application development and the ability to make decisions based on
that knowledge. Has strong working knowledge of how and when to use
efficiency tools to automate test execution.
