HP Openview Hp-UX administrative position

I have a HP Openview position available administrating on Hp-UX
machines.

SUMMARY: Provide the primary support for the network monitoring
systems and assist in the overall support of the enterprise-wide
network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Thorough working knowledge of HP Openview running on a HP Unix
machine.
2. Perform system administration of Sun Solaris and HPUX servers. This
includes upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, patches, and development
of custom scripts using Perl, POSIX shell, and C++.
3. Working knowledge of enterprise-network reporting systems,
preferring experience with Netscout probes and software. Knowledge of
SNMP as used for infrastructure monitoring.
4. Working knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and software.
5. Provides technical assistance in network planning, engineering and
architecture. Assists in long-term strategic planning to ensure network
capacity meets current and future network requirements, including
planning for remote hardware and communications facilities.
6. Identifies and provides resolution for network problems. Also, a
working knowledge of the OSI model and Sniffer technologies is
preferred.
7. Coordinates or performs preventative maintenance on the
organizations network infrastructure.
8. Participate in the on call rotation and performs other duties as
assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business
Administration.
2. A minimum of three years of prior work related or IT experience is
preferred.
3. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team development
environment.
