Description:
Ticketmaster is looking for a Front-End Web Developer/Software Engineer to
join our Client Tools team. We’re developing an Ajax point of sale
application, to be used internationally across Europe, the United States,
and for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. As part of the team, you’ll be involved
in developing a dynamic front-end interface that interacts with an
Unix/Apache backend. You’ll work with other Developers and Systems
Engineers, as well as Product Managers, Designers, and Quality Assurance
professionals.


Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years development experience with the following:
o Javascript & DOM as an application development platform
o CSS (both inline and external, including table-less CSS 2.0
layouts)
o HTML (Candidates dependent upon WYSIWYG applications will not be
considered.)
• Experience with Javascript libraries such as Prototype,
Scriptaculous, Ext, Yahoo! UI, or Dojo
• Expertise with Web design standards & issues (e.g. browser/platform
compatibility)
• Ability to debug web applications using tools such as Firebug
• Familiarity with using Unix/Linux
• Experience with version control, ideally CVS or Subversion
• Thrive in a team-based environment
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and designs to
non-developers
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills


Preferences:
• Experience with the LAMP application server stack
• Familiarity with a scripting language such as Perl, Ruby, Python,
or PHP
• Experience with a templating language (e.g., Template::Toolkit,
RHTML, JSP, ASP)
• Object-Oriented application programming experience
• Experience developing multilingual sites using Unicode & UTF-8
