Description: Company CH2M HILL OMI Title Senior Operations Specialist Job Description CH2M HILL OMI is seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Operations Specialist in Washington, DC. This position can be based from any CH2M HILL Office in Northeast Region.The Senior Operations Specialist assumes a lead role on special projects which involve CH2M HILL and require numerous OMI employees, Project Development Evaluations and Full Contract Operations (FCO) reviews.

Additional Responsibilities Include: • Provides client and business development support for OMI and CH2M HILL • Evaluates facilities operations and management and suggests improvements to operations personnel and/or design engineers • Assists with the startup, development of operational guides, and performs training and performance evaluations for new facilities • Implements operator and operations management training programs • Analyzes process control procedures and recommends changes where needed • Maintains technical skills at the highest level and remains informed of the latest developments in the field • Establishes cooperative relationships with coworkers, operations staff, vendors, contractors, and all others contacted during the work • Communicates effectively, both written and verbally, with supervisors, coworkers and clients • Provides guidance, training and evaluation of other Operations Specialists • Provides operations assistance to CH2M HILL, OMI FCO and OMI special projects • Reports monthly to Regional Manager on utilization, work summary and work projection • Prepares individual budget annually and submits to Regional Manager for review • Fills in for a FCO project manager on a short-term (up to 3 months) basis as necessary • Prepares or assists in the preparation of O&M manuals • Performs plant startups and operations consulting services • Prepares, consults on, or reviews operations cost and staffing estimates • Reviews CH2M HILL designs for operability • Conducts or assists in conducting performance evaluations and operator assistance programs • Performs project followup reviews to determine client satisfaction with past service and develop recommendations on the need for future service • Prepares, or assists in the preparation of OMI proposals and CH2M HILL proposals • Markets CH2M HILL-developed software and provides support for installed programs at OMI and CH2M HILL client facilities • Becomes involved in operators organization activities through membership and committee participation • Provides technical and management assistance to OMI projects on an “as requested” basis including temporary assignment to project supervisory positions Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Working in Water, Wastewater and Industrial Facilities. Safety is very important, . Able to walk around a construction site and climb scaffolding as well as work on your feet for several hours. Sites may be dusty, noisy and potentially hazardous. High school diploma or GED . Certification at the highest level required by the State in which the project is located . Ten years experience in operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment plant facilities . Four years experience at a supervisory level Degree Required High School/GED Certification Required Highest Level Water Certification for state of residency. Travel Requirement % 50 Preferred Qualifications . Post high school education . Ten years experience in operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment plant facilities including knowledge of the technical aspects of water/wastewater treatment, budget preparation and financial accountability . Knowledge of OMI and CH2M HILL organizations and CH2M HILL OMI quality process . Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook . Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with many different levels of employees . Willingness to travel frequently . International work experience Years of Experience 10 Recent College Graduate No
