DB2 UDB AIX/Linux Database Administrator

Description DB2 UDB AIX/Linux DataBase Administration tasks such as
backup/recovery, database reorganizations, SQL performance/tuning,
database performance/tuning, logical & physical database design, and
disaster recovery. Experience with DB2 UDB database partitioning
highly desireable. This is a technical DBA position supporting over
100 databases, some of them being multi-terabytes in size. This is not
an application DBA position.

Qualifications 2+ years of DB2 UDB/AIX database administration
experience. 1+ years experience performing logical and physical design
of large databases. 1+ years developing applications that access DB2
UDB databases.

Basic Qualifications - Eight or more years of experience with database
management systems - 10 or more years of experience in specific
database management systems

Preferred Skills/Experience - Working knowledge of functional and
technical design, programming, query tools and testing components of
application development - Advanced knowledge of database management
systems including experience with design, analysis, debugging,
performance characteristics and recovery activities - Advanced
knowledge of logical data modeling tools, IMS, DB2, SYBASE, Oracle,
and supportive software - Considerable knowledge of applications
methodology, technical design functions and assigned database system
capabilities and administration activities - Strong project management
skills - Strong planning and organizational skills - Excellent
interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
