Client is looking for a Sr Cognos developer who has very good
experience in migration projects.
Skills:
* We are seeking individuals with OLAP and Relational Database
technical background, a proven record of accomplishment, and a minimum
five years of workplace experience.
* The candidate should have the ability to understand and develop user
requirements by participating in working sessions. The candidate
should have strong oral and written communication skills.
* The candidate should have an excellent understanding of the Cognos
OLAP tool, particularly of Cognos Series 8, ReportNet 1.X (Framework
Manager, Report Studio, Query studio, Connection) and Cognos Series 7
(Impromptu, Powerplay and Upfront). The candidate will also
potentially carry out development in a relational database
environment; therefore, he or she should have a background in
designing tables and views in relational databases and be able to use
SQL proficiently. Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus.
* The candidate should have experience in migrating from Series 7 to
ReportNet or Series 8 environment
* This position requires flexibility, creativity and initiative.
* Candidates should be self-starters who enjoy working with an
international team of people. Candidates must be able to multi-task
their workload assignments.
* Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English, have strong
writing and communication skills, and be team players.
