Software Engineer - JAVA

This position provides an opportunity for you to be in the center of
the scientific breakthroughs that will come from simultaneously
sequencing and analyzing hundreds of thousands of reads from complex
mixtures of DNA. However, this is not a research position. The goal of
this position is to quickly translate insights and understanding into
commercial software that is delivered to our customers, and the
emphasis will be on the software improvements, not on the specific
project discoveries. Requirements:

* Extensive JAVA programming experience - specifically JAVA swing.
Please provide descriptions or web-access to example software you have
developed. * Experience developing GUIs. * Experience with Perl
scripting. * Experience developing MVC (model/ view/ controller)
applications. * Expertise and at least 3 years developing commercial
software on a Linux or other Unix-based platform - experience with
Eclipse is a plus. * B.S. in Computer Science and at least 6 years of
COMMERCIAL software development experience, or B.S. and M.S. in
Computer Science and at least 3 years COMMERCIAL software development
experience. * Knowledge of bioinformatics, statistics and/or biology
is a plus, but not required.
