Description: Posting #: IAUL4944 Title: Transmission Lines/Civil Engineering LONG Term CONTRACT Long Term Skills: AISC, ACI-316 design codes, CT State Building Code.ASCE-7 Standard, NESC Safety Code Location: CT - Berlin Type: Consulting Length: 11 Months Description: Transmission Lines/Civil Engineering LONG Term CONTRACT Our direct client, a Fortune 500 diversified energy company who provides millions of residential and business customers with energy products and services is looking for Transmission Lines/Civil Engineering LONG Term CONTRACT

In depth working knowledge of AISC, ACI-318 design codes and the Connecticut State Building Code. Familiarity with the ASCE-7 Standard and NESC Safety Code and their application is preferred. The ability to be self sufficient in the analysis and design of concrete foundations and steel frame structures. Proficient computer skills in the use of various structural programs such as RISA 3D, PLS CADD / POLE (or equivalent), and software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes etc. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of interfacing with engineering, design, and field construction disciplines. Ability to work both in the office and at various NU field sites in support of civil transmission line and substation projects. Experience in the design of transmission line and or substation structures is desirable. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 to 7 years of engineering experience. PE registration in the state of Connecticut is preferred. Must hold a valid motor vehicle license. Requirements: * AISC, ACI-316 design codes, * CT State Building Code * Familiarity with.ASCE-7 Standard, NESC Safety Code * Proficiency in RISA 3D, PLS CADD / POLE * MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes * Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering * Must hold a valid motor vehicle license.
