JOB TITLE: Sales Manager - Book Publisher
LOCATION: Irvine, US-CA
JOB TYPE: Direct
SALARY : $70000 - $75000


DESCRIPTION:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with distributors presents all titles to major Trade and Mass
Market accounts.

Sales and Marketing
1. Act as liaison between distributor's sales force and employer.
2. Maintain up-to-date, accurate reports on every order coming into
distributor, everything being shipped out.
3. Make sure internal reports jibe with distributor reports.
4. Keep up-to-date on terms, policies, etc.
5. Provide sales materials--tip sheets, sales kits--to distributor's sales
force.
6. Present the seasonal lists at appropriate sales meetings.
7. Interact with distributor to participate in co-op advertising opportunities.
8. Overseeing internal sales of books through route and dealer program.

Interact with key bookseller and wholesaler accounts.
1. Know and maintain working list of buyers, key sellers.
2. Interact via phone and mail on regular basis
3. Develop marketing effort to identified accounts.
4. Pursue and coordinate appropriate co-op advertising opportunities.
5. Research available vehicles through wholesalers, booksellers.
6. Provide appropriate co-op materials.
7. Create and maintain sales policy/procedure handbook.
8. Interact and assist with publicity efforts.
9. Interact and assist with other promotional efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing

Experience Level: 5 years in book sales

Skills:
Good phone skills
Organizational skills--good with details
Positive outlook, personable, energetic, Self- starter

MANDATORY SKILLS:
Book;Distributed;Sales Management;Wholesale

MANDATORY EDUCATION: Bachelor of Arts
