As a Principal Consultant with Actuate's professional services group,
responsible for understanding client's business needs, reviewing
systems landscape with the client and design and implemented
solutions.

Responsibilities include:

* Manage and drive requirements definition and system design
activities for larger projects, and independently perform detailed
design activities in smaller projects
* Lead system architecture design.
* Development of components required for integration including
security integration and portal customizations
* Prepare test plans and oversee unit, system and acceptance testing
activities
* Mentor junior consultants and clients.
* Coordinate development activities with an offshore team of
developers based in Hyderabad, India.

Completed following projects:

* Designed and developed security integration for American Express
Online Merchant System. This enables merchants to use Single Sign On
(SSO) to access various American Express Systems. LDAP Security was
integrated with Actuate iServer so that Merchants can gain seamless
access to online reports.

* Led the requirements gathering, design and development activities
for a decision intelligence portal for Ameriprise Financial. A
customized portal was developed for Ameriprise Information Management
(Decision Intelligence) team using Actuate Active Portal and Websphere
5.0.

* Designed and implemented a web based dashboard for Ameriprise
Financial Advisors. This dashboard enables Ameriprise Financial
Advisors to compare their key performance and compensation metrics
against those of their peers. It also provides recommendations on key
areas of improvement. This dashboard enabled Ameriprise to shutdown
many old reports. Dashboard was implemented using Actuate erdPro and
iServer on Websphere 5.0 Portal. Security was implemented so that
Advisors can access their own dashboard and field leaders can view the
dashboard of their reportees. We also designed a data abstraction
layer to summarize and rollup detailed data. This cutdown dashboard
generation times from 15 days to less than 2 days using Oracle 9i.

* Currently developing a Business Planning Tool for Ameriprise
Advisors so that they can plan for next year based on current
performance. This tool can be used both in online and offline mode.
Tool is being developed in Actuate eSpreadsheet and is fully
compatible with Excel. BP tool will post the updated data over HTTPS
to a java servlet using SOAP. Data is then updated into an Oracle
database and is used for reporting on the Advisor Dashboard. Security
is integrated into the tool so that Advisor can see and update their
own planning data wheras field leader can view and update planning
data for their reportees.

* Designed and developed several new reports to Revenue Management

* Ported Revenue management system from Dynix/Ptx environment to AIX
including roguewave library replacement with STL.
* Designed and developed Long Range forecast module. This module was
developed using Oracle, C++ and PL/SQL.
* Developed a Group Evaluation module that helps to gain more revenue
from group business. Using Java, C++ and Oracle.
* Converted Code to support Y2K modifications.
