JOB SUMMARY
TITLE: Web Editor (Spanish)
LOCATION OF JOB: Irondale, Alabama
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, non-exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY: Will build and update contents of the Spanish section
of the EWTN website.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Design and build web pages for EWTN Spanish web site.
2. Research information on a variety of aspects of the Catholic Faith.
3. Review, edit, translate (English to Spanish), and post documents
and other data received for EWTN web site.
4. Post daily news and update information on the Spanish web site.
5. Prepare Radio and TV grids for EWTN's satellites.
6. Prepare audio and video files for use on the Internet.
7. Regular and prompt attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ˇ Knowledge of Internet technologies (HTML, CSS, ASP, etc), web
editing, social media and software, including the following:
Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Flash.
ˇ College degree preferred
ˇ Above average oral and written communications skills in both the
Spanish and English languages, including Internet proficiency in both
languages.
ˇ Demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Faith, the Magisterium,
and how they relate to the programming goals of the Network
ˇ A keen sense of detail, ability to work well with others as well as
alone, and capable of following directions
ˇ Zero tolerance for unlawful discrimination against or harassment of
self or others
