Participate in engineering activities associated with designing,
developing, evaluating and implementing changes to improve the
image interpretability and utility of Synthetic Aperture Radar
(SAR). Work as part of an integrated team of imagery intelligence
analysts and multi-disciplined engineers that will develop
prototype products that aid the intelligence community in solving
challenging intelligence issues. Using scientific analysis tools,
evaluate softcopy and hardcopy imagery and imagery-based products
to determine interpretability characteristics and performance of
SAR processing. Participate in the development of new techniques
for image presentation and utilization in softcopy and hardcopy.
Oversee and participate in the production of image presentation
materials. Participate in the design, coordinate, management, and
execution of ground truth experiments locally and at remote
locations. Represent the organization at product quality forums
and technical exchange meetings. Produce briefings and written
reports. Interact with associate contractors and sister
organizations.

Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in a discipline such as image science, physics,
mathematics or electrical engineering.
3 years, minimum, in an engineering-related position.
Proficiency in Windows-based application such as Word, Excel,
Powerpoint, Access.
Strong speaking and written communications skills
Proficiency in a general programming language such as C, Perl, or
Java.
Proficiency in a math or image programming language such as
Mathcad, IDL, PVWave.

Performs research and/or product development encompassing
multiple engineering disciplines, such as electronics,
electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2
years of professional experience; or no experience required with
a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a
learner.
