~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Senior leadership position will drive the development and
integration of thermal control system technologies for product
platform varification of microprocessors and chipsets. Candidate
will create strategic plans and architectural specifications
based on research of technologies and trends in the test
environment. The candidate will also be responsible for working
with cross-organizational teams for the thermal mechanical
design, integration and validation of system level test hardware.
Analyzing architectures, leading engineering teams through proof
of concept, technology development and promoting technical growth
within the group are expected. Successful candidate must be a
proactive self-starter requiring minimum supervision. Must be
creative and able to develop thermal architectures based on
personal expertise and leveraging of technical resources. Must
have expert knowledge of structural mechanics and thermal
principles to assess the design, reliability and performance of
thermal solutions that may employ thermoelectric, two-phase and
passive technologies. Familiarity with closed-loop, PID control
systems is also a plus. The successful candidate should be able
to analyze current and future systems by application of
mechanical/thermal principles, finite element modeling techniques
(Flotherm, Ansys) and design of experiment based data collection.

The ability to utilize Pro/E is required for review of vendor
designs and production of in-house designs. Candidate must be a
strong team player, able to simultaneously work on multiple
projects, clearly communicate information to stakeholders and
influence technical decision-making across organizations based on
statistical data. Position requires 5+ years experience in
thermal mechanical engineering with a MSME at a minimum, with PhD
preferred.
